Bio of Bishnu
Bishnu is the founder of “PMchecklist” – a coaching and consulting initiative on “Project Management” for better Project Outcome.
He is a member of Project Management
Institute (PMI), USA. He has been engaged with wide spectrum of development and
welfare projects of “The World Bank, DFID, UNDP, WFP, ICCO, ICEF, SRTT, IGSSS,
PRADAN, NABRD, Planning Commission (Govt. of India), State Governments of
Odisha, Jharkhand and Bihar.
He has 17 years of fulltime engagement
with International Agency (UNDP), State Govts. (Bihar & Jharkhand),
National level NGO (PRADAN) and Regional Science Centre (Govt. of India). Currently
Bishnu is working as a Dy. CEO in SSUPSW (State Society for Ultra Poor and
Social Welfare, Department of Social Welfare, Govt. Bihar) and based at Patna,
Bihar. He is a former State Project Officer (SPO) of UNDP, Team Leader of
PRADAN (national level livelihoods and women development NGO) and Educational
Trainee of Regional Science Centre (Govt. of India).
He was the topper (Gold medalist) in
M. Phil in Natural Resource Management from Indian Institute of Forest Management
(IIFM), Bhopal, M. P. He was also 2nd topper in MSW (Master of
Social Work) from Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan, W.B. He had completed
Bachelors of Science (Physics Honours) in
first class with distinction from Utkal University, Odisha. He had received NRT
(National Rural Talent) Scholarship, Merit Scholarship and fellowships during
his academic career.
His major professional achievement is
“Initiating and establishing a new Women Development and Livelihood Project” from
the year 2000 to 2006 in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha during his career in
PRADAN. Presently the project is benefiting more than 15,000 families (75, 000
population) through 1,000 women SHGs & range of livelihoods
activities.
His hobbies are reading, writing, watching
TV news and debates, traveling, photography, making friendship and networking
with wide range of people. He is very active in Social Network Sites i.e.
LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, YouTube. He occasionally writes for
organizational newsletters and prepares documents for development sector. He
has interest in Project Management, Development Sector, Politics, Science and
Technology. He was a Football & Kabadi Player during his collage days.
Bishnu belongs to Odisha state of republic
of India. His wife Matanjali is a home maker and only daughter Shubhra who is
11 years old reads in Std. – V.
